Music has always been my best medicine. Both listening to and creating.

One of the best decisions I made in the last year (and what a year it's been) was to join an online song writing group. It's a small community of passionate, supportive and incredibly talented individuals.

The group has a day every week for people to submit covers and I've found this a nice opportunity to experiment with different arrangements and recording techniques and give me the motivation to work on some of my own music.

This album then is a tribute everyone in that group and, of course, to the artists whose songs have helped me survive this year (the list is far larger than just those I've managed to cover but this lot sure helped)

These covers vary greatly in how much time I took over them. Some I only had a couple of hours to pull something together and some I took a week or so to work on the arrangement and production.
